A Few Pets Are Fine!

Before you choose Pigeons or any other birds as a pet or 4H project for your child , be mindful of the fact that most birds give off a fine powdered feather dust ( protein) that can cause lung damage after long time exposure to enclosed areas with many birds and little ventilation.

This English Trumpeter youngster "Buddy" , is tempted with a few choice seeds by Kayden. Children (especially boys) from age five to one hundred and five often find Pigeons irresistible .
Girls can love Pigeons too , and here Elizabeth shows off her friend , a Storked marked Grizzle American Show Racer squeaker.
